festival times

Answer

The festival starts at 14.00 PM and ends at 23.00PM CEST. Keep in mind that the doors close at 21.00 CEST.

Age and ID

Answer

The festival is 18+, and it is mandatory to present a valid ID (driver's license, passport, identification card, ID) before entering the festival. Just a photo of any of the above will not suffice. Please note that Backstage tickets the mandatory age is 21+

Re-entry

Answer

It's not possible to leave the festival grounds and re-enter afterwards. If you do leave you will have to show a valid ticket again to enter the festival grounds.

Door closure

Answer

The doors will close at 21:00 CET, and entry will not be permitted after that time.

EARLY ENTRY

Early entry tickets are only valid for entry until 15:30 CET.

MediCATION

Answer

You can bring your medication only upon presentation of a prescription and/or a doctor's note. The medication must be unopened.There will be first aid available, indicated by signs and they will walk around the festival grounds.

Drugs policy

The use and possession of soft and hard drugs is prohibited.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

The festival is fully wheelchair accessible. Each restroom area includes a designated accessible toilet. Visitors using wheelchairs can enter through the main entrance, and no prior registration is required.

CAR-FREE EVENT POLICY

SONA is shaped by its community, and together we’re creating its future in Amsterdam with care for the neighborhood and its surroundings. That’s why this is an event with very limited car access. By deciding to visit the festival by car you accept the possibility of traffic jams and longer exit times. To ensure a smooth entrance and exit of the festival, the bike or shuttle bus are the best modes of transport.

Shuttle bus/ bIke fast lane entrance: how does it work?

By asking you to come by shuttle bus or bike, we want to give you something in return: exclusive access to a fast-lane festival entrance. To make sure you have access to the fast-lane entrance you’ll have to pick-up your exclusive fast-lane wristband at the shuttle bus stop (Sloterdijk or Amsterdam Central Station) by showing your shuttle bus ticket when you enter the bus or with your bike at the bicycle parking.

SHUTTLE BUS RAI

Answer

Take the shuttle bus to the venue from RAI Station (approx. 13 minutes). Buses depart every 10 minutes starting at 1.45pm and continue running until all visitors have left. The shuttle operates continuous round trips throughout the festival, making it easy to travel to and from the venue at any time.

The shuttle departure point at Amsterdam RAI is located within walking distance of both Amsterdam RAI Station and Europaplein metro station. From Amsterdam RAI Station, direct train and metro connections are available to Amsterdam Zuid Station in 4 minutes. From Europaplein metro station, Amsterdam Centraal Station can be reached by metro in 8 minutes.

Please note that the last metro and train connections depart between 00:00 and 01:00, depending on your destination. Be sure to plan your journey in advance using the 9292 app.

Organised bus transport (outside of Amsterdam)

Bus travel is available through our official partner Busjedelen. You can book a seat on a shared bus and choose a pick-up point near you. From there, you’ll travel to the festival together with other visitors.

Bicycle parking (electric bikes and supervision)

To keep your (electric) bike safe, the bicycle parking area is secured and continuously monitored by our staff. Dedicated lockers are available for storing bike batteries. Please note that it is not possible to charge your bike at the parking area. Follow the on-site signage to easily locate the bicycle parking.

Taxi, kiss & ride and ordered transport

If you visit the festival by taxi or other ordered transport, navigate to Amsterdamse Bos and follow the instructions and signage on site to reach the designated drop-off area. Please note: if many visitors arrive by car, delays may occur when travelling to and from the festival.

CAR PARKING

Answer

Car access is limited, and only a small number of parking tickets are available through the webshop. By choosing to travel by car, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of traffic congestion and longer exit times.

At SONA events, parking tickets are intentionally priced higher than shuttle tickets to discourage car use and promote travel options with less impact for the neighbourhood.

Backstage parking

A limited number of backstage parking tickets will be available for backstage ticket holders. Please keep an eye on your email for more information.

Touringcar

Answer

If you visit us by your own organised touring car, it is important to sign up by sending an email to info@sonaworldwide.com. Spots for touring cars are limited and only available with a registration.

Due to late personalization, tickets can only be downloaded on 4th and 5th of July 2025.

Receive ticket

Answer

You will receive an email immediately upon purchasing your ticket. The ticket can be downloaded on the 5th of September 2026.

Lost ticket

Answer

If you cannot find your tickets in your mailbox, try retrieving them through Paylogic (https://account.paylogic.com/i-lost-my-tickets). If this doesn’t work, please contact info@sonaworldwide.com. In your email, please include the full name used during the ticket purchase along with your email address. We will then promptly assist you in resolving the matter.

Print ticket

It is not necessary to print out your ticket. In fact, we prefer tickets on the phone.

Personalize ticket

You can personalize your ticket through the confirmation email. If you can't find it, please proceed to question 4.

THE EVENT IS SOLD OUT, HOW CAN I GET A TICKET?

Unfortunately if the event is sold out, it is not possible to purchase tickets through Paylogic our ticketing platform. You can visit Ticketswap to join the waitlist or safely purchase a resale ticket.

Can i cancel my ticket?

It is not possible to cancel your tickets, however, you can sell them safely and securely through our official resale partner Ticketswap.

WHY DOES SONA HAVE 'SEALED TICKETS'?

SONA uses sealed tickets to ensure a fairer ticketing experience for everyone. These tickets cannot be resold through unofficial channels or secondary markets, effectively preventing scams. All ticket resales must go through our verified partner, Ticketswap.

We strive to create a safe and welcoming festival environment for everyone. All social norms and values are upheld on the premises. Any form of threats, violence, discrimination, or sexual harassment will not be tolerated.

lockers

Lockers will be available. You can purchase a locker in advance, and we will send an email with a link to all ticket holders once they are available. At the festival, you can also buy a locker using QR-codes and payment methods like iDEAL. Additionally, there will be an information point for lockers at the festival.

Neighbour information

Answer

Ten days before the event, residents within the municipality's distribution area will receive a neighborhood letter. The letter will contain information about park accessibility and the opportunity to register for a chance to win residents' tickets for the festival. We will also host a tour and several activities for our neighbours. More on this will be added later in this FAQ.
