The festival starts at 12.00 PM and ends at 23.00PM CET. Keep in mind that the doors close at 21.00 CET.

Age and ID

Answer

The festival is 18+, and it is mandatory to present a valid ID (driver's license, passport, identification card, ID) before entering the festival. Just a photo of any of the above will not suffice. Please note that for Backstage tickets the mandatory age is 21+

Re-entry

Answer

It's not possible to leave the event grounds and re-enter afterwards. If you do leave you will have to show an unused/new valid ticket again to enter the festival grounds.

Door closure

Answer

The doors will close at 21:00 CET, and entry will not be permitted after that time.

Drugs policy

Answer

The use and possession of soft and hard drugs is prohibited.

MEDICATION

You can bring your medication only upon presentation of a prescription and/or a doctors note. The medication must be unopened.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

Answer

The festival is wheelchair accessible, featuring special toilets and entrances. Wheelchair access is through the general entrance. No prior registration is required.

CAR-FREE EVENT POLICY

Answer

SONA is shaped by its community, and together we’re creating its future in Amsterdam with care for the neighborhood and its surroundings. That’s why this is an event with very limited car access. By deciding to visit the festival by car you accept the possibility of traffic jams and longer exit times. To ensure a smooth entrance and exit of the festival, the bike or public transport are the best modes of transport.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO REACH THE VENUE

Answer

The festival is easily accessible from Amsterdam Central Station where you can take the (free) ferry to NDSM. The ferry to NDSM departs approximately every 10 minutes. From the ferry it is a 5 minute walk to the venue. The ferries will depart from the NDSM-Wharf until the last visitors are safely dropped off at Amsterdam Central Station and the Pontsteiger.

REACHING THE VENUE BIKE

Answer

The festival is easily accessible by bike. Take the ferry to ‘Buiksloterweg’ from Amsterdam Central Station or, if you plan to come from Amsterdam-West, take the ferry from ‘Pontsteiger’ to the NDSM.

To keep your (electric) bike safe, the bicycle parking area is secured and continuously monitored by our staff. Dedicated lockers are available for storing bike batteries. Please note that it is not possible to charge your bike at the parking area. Follow the on-site signage to easily locate the bicycle parking.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Answer

Apart from the ferries, it is also possible to take the metro to ‘Noorderpark’ and take a bus from there to ‘Klaprozenweg’ from the bus stop it is a 5 minute walk to the venue.

Taxi, KISS & RIDE and ordered transport

If you visit the festival by taxi or ordered transport follow the instructions of the traffic controllers to the venue. Please note: if everyone comes by car be prepared for major traffic jams and delays to get to the festival.

CAR parking

Answer

This is a car-free event. There are no parking spaces available. Parking in the surrounding areas is not possible due to road closures.

BACKSTAGE PARKING

Answer

A limited number of backstage parking tickets will be available for backstage ticket holders. Please keep an eye on your email for more information.

TOURING CARS

Answer

If you visit us by touring car, it is mandatory to inform us about this by sending an email to info@sonaworldwide.com, as the spots for touring cars are limited and only available with registration.

EARLY ENTRANCE TICKETS

If you have purchased an early entrance ticket, please note that you must enter the venue before 15:00 CET. Entry after this time will not be allowed.

If the event is sold out, the only safe way to secure a ticket is through our waiting list or via Ticketswap. You can join the waiting list via the official ticketshop or visit Ticketswap to safely purchase or resale tickets.

Print ticket

Answer

It is not necessary to print out your ticket. In fact, we prefer tickets on the phone.

Personalize ticket

Answer

You can personalize your ticket through the confirmation email. If you can't find it, please proceed to question 4.

lockers

Answer

Lockers will be available on-site. You can purchase a locker in advance here, and we will send an email with a link to all ticket holders once they are available. At the festival, you can also buy a locker using QR-codes and payment methods like iDEAL. Additionally, there will be an information point for lockers at the festival.
