The event starts at 13:00 and ends at 23:00 CET. Keep in mind that the doors close at 21:00.

Age and ID

Answer

The festival is 18+, and it is mandatory to present a valid ID (driver's license, passport, identification card, ID) for entry. Just a photo of any of the above will not suffice. Please note that Backstage entrance is 21+.

Re-entry

Answer

It's not possible to leave the event grounds and re-enter afterwards. If you do leave you will have to show an unused/new valid ticket again to enter the festival grounds.

Door closure

Answer

The doors will close at 21:00 CET, and entry will not be permitted after that time.

Drugs policy

Answer

The use and possession of soft and hard drugs is prohibited.

MEDICATION

You can bring your medication only upon presentation of a prescription and/or a doctors note. The medication must be unopened.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

Answer

The festival is wheelchair accessible, featuring special toilets and entrances. Wheelchair access is through the general entrance. No prior registration is required.

CAR-FREE EVENT POLICY

SONA is shaped by its community, and together we’re creating its future in Amsterdam with care for the neighborhood and its surroundings. If everyone attends the event by car, there will be major traffic jams, you will get stuck in traffic, and it will take you much longer to get to the event. In addition, it causes a lot of nuisance to the surrounding area of the event. This is something we are committed to prevent so that we can continue to organize great events for you in the future.

This is the reason why this is a car-free event - with no car and restricted taxis/Ubers access. To give you something in return we provide fast-lane entry for everyone that arrives by bike or shuttle bus.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

Answer

Take the shuttle bus from Zaandam station (7 min approx.) or Amsterdam Sloterdijk station (15 min approx.) to the venue. The buses at both stops leave every 10 minutes from 12.45pm until 00.30am. The buses keep driving round trips the entire duration of the festival, so it is easy to find your way (back) anytime!

‍Keep in mind that the last trains at Zaandam station depart between 00.00 and 1am, plan your trip in the 9292 app.

Bicycle parking (electric bikes and supervision)

To make sure your (electric) bike is safe, the bicycle parking is closed off and constantly overseen by our staff. We have special lockers for bike batteries, which you can use. We are looking into creating possibilities to charge your bike at the event. Further information will follow soon.

Taxi, KISS & RIDE and ordered transport

If you visit the festival by taxi or ordered transport follow the instructions of the traffic controllers to the venue. Please note: if everyone comes by car be prepared for major traffic jams and delays to get to the festival.

CAR parking

This is a car-free event. There are no parking spaces available. Parking in the surrounding areas is not possible due to road closures.

TOURING CARS

If you visit us by touring car, it is mandatory to inform us about this by sending an email to info@sonaworldwide.com, as the spots for touring cars are limited and only available with registration.

FAST LANE ENTRY

SONA is shaped by its community, and together we’re creating its future in Amsterdam with care for the neighborhood and its surroundings. That’s why this is a car-free event - with no car and restricted taxis/Ubers access. By asking you to come by shuttle bus or bike, we want to give you something in return: exclusive access to a fast-lane festival entrance.

To make sure you have access to the fast-lane entrance you’ll have to pick-up your exclusive fast-lane wristband at the shuttle bus stop (Zaandam or Amsterdam Sloterdijk) by showing your shuttle bus ticket when you enter the bus or with your bike at the bicycle parking.

EARLY ENTRANCE TICKETS

If the event is sold out, the only safe way to secure a ticket is through our waiting list or via Ticketswap. You can join the waiting list via the official ticketshop or visit Ticketswap to safely purchase or resale tickets.

Print ticket

Answer

It is not necessary to print out your ticket. In fact, we prefer tickets on the phone.

Personalize ticket

Answer

You can personalize your ticket through the confirmation email. If you can't find it, please proceed to question 4.

lockers

Answer

Lockers will be available on-site. You can purchase a locker in advance here, and we will send an email with a link to all ticket holders once they are available. At the festival, you can also buy a locker using QR-codes and payment methods like iDEAL. Additionally, there will be an information point for lockers at the festival.
